Our annual community Festival provides reputable professionals who foster inclusion, education, and performance opportunity during adjudicated sessions. Please consider contributing your talents to our wonderful organization-- you will be warmly welcomed!!

Volunteer Board Member Positions
We are looking for people who understand the importance of the performing arts to a vibrant city, and who know that the foundation is built on the generous gift of time from volunteers to ensure that subsequent generations of young performers have opportunity, encouragement and support.
What we look for in a board member
Each of us who support the performing arts have our own reasons and motivation. If your motivation is strong, then that’s the first and most vital ingredient. The board values different viewpoints and experience and looks for a mix of people not only from within the performing arts community who understand Festival intimately, but also from outside who can share their financial, analytical, business, legal, marketing, fund raising, leadership or relationship building skills.
Expectations
Board members are expected to attend around 10 monthly board meetings per year. We represent the membership of our non profit, and so must be accountable to them and our community by understanding their needs and guiding festival to change and adapt over time. In the past we used to be a working board with operational duties, but that has gone away with the introduction of two festival staff. We now act as a governing board, with operational oversight provided through the executive (President, Vice President and Treasurer).
