OUR DONORS

We are deeply grateful for the loyal and generous support of our donors. Their contributions are essential to ensuring that the Festival can sustain its operations and continue playing a key role in the performing arts community of Greater Victoria.

Staging our annual Festival, with more than 5,000 participants, requires thousands of hours of work and exceeds the funds raised through performers' registration fees and concert admissions.

Make Festival Happen Fund

The Make Festival Happen Fund helps cover the costs of everything from music, dance, and speech arts venues to professional adjudicators, concert programs, office space, and the staff needed to coordinate each and every Festival event over six weeks.

GVPAF is a volunteer-based organization, relying on more than 300 volunteers and a volunteer Board of Directors. In addition to their governance duties, the Board performs much of the organization's work, including administrative tasks, fundraising, and recruiting and supervising volunteers.

GVPAF shares a big vision and an abundance of passion. Just as we depend on volunteers to help us get the work done, we rely on our donors to help meet our financial obligations.

Awards Fund

Each year, over 100 donors generously contribute to more than 400 awards, which are distributed across various Festival disciplines. These awards are often given in memory of individuals who had a passion for the performing arts, continuing their legacy by supporting participants with outstanding performances.

Donors also provide vital bus transportation, helping Greater Victoria public schools participate in adjudicated Choral, Dance, and Orchestra events.

If you share our vision and would like to be part of a community that offers young performing artists the opportunity to express themselves, develop their skills, inspire and engage with other performers, and give back to their families, teachers, and community supporters, we invite you to kindly consider making a donation!
